Is there any freeware software that will tell me how fast my HD is? I
have a Dell I6000 and I've heard different people saying their HD is
4200, 5400, and 7200rpm, so I'm just wondering what Dell shipped me
since they seem to be very inconsistent w/what parts they ship. I have
sisoft sandra 2005 installed but i can't find a module that will tell me.

Easiest way is to pull the drive and look! But most of the HD utilities from
the drive makers will ID the drives.

Worked like a charm (too lazy to take out HD). Bad news though, my HD
was only 4200rpm/2mb cache :-(
