Ram slots

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how much of a performance drop will I get if I decided to install my ram in # 3 and 4 slots on my Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z/Gen3 mb. I bought Corsair Dominator GT 1866 8gigs (4X2) and on the mb slots 1&2 are not working so technically the memory is not functioning in dual mode if installed in 3&4 slots. Working around that my system runs fine, cpuz reads my timings as 6.6.6.20 and this machine is crazy fast OS, Win 7 installed on Kigston Hyper X 120 SSD. I have my XMP profile set in bios. Any help will be appreciated.

running in single channel (#1#2/#3#4)mode instead of dual channel(#1#3/ #2#4); you maybe losing about 5% in your memory performance.

thanks dude I guess that won't mater much to me, I got a big heatsink on my cpu fan and now I think I will go with #3 and #4 and opt out on cutting my cooler.
