Fluxuating Hyper Transport

hi, i was watching my Hyper transport in GPU-Z, and i noticed that i can fluxuate up to 1MHz (usually down)
after a quick google search i didnt find anything useful
also my motherboard is pretty cheap, its the Asus M5A88-M, and my CPU is the AMD phenom II 840, and my system is overclocked, though it still fluxuates on stock speeds
is this normal? and also, its not causing instability, im just wondering why its changing so much![:p]( ":p")
