Hey all,

Essentially I'm having a major problem with the BSOD PFN List Corrupt error. I don't normally post on the forums anymore but I follow what's going on everyday so I'm sure someone here can help =) It seems to happen when I play World of Warcraft, usually at the end of an instance when being teleported back to my original location, BUT has happened when just wandering around the game. EVEN listening to Itunes or downloading data can set it off - though this is less common.

Things I have tried: -

1) I have wiped my computer and installed everything fresh. All latest drivers, etc.
2) I did Memtest for 12 hours and found no problems with my memory.
3) I DO NOT overclock.
4) I have disabled graphics settings and lowered sound settings to see if that would help. It didn't.
5) I ensured all Directx updates were installed.
6) Did a hard drive check.
7) Windows fully up to date

Nothing seems to help. My rig is relatively new: -

Windows 7 64 bit
Asus P7P55D-E Intel P55 Motherboard
Intel I5 760
Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
Ati HD 5850
Asus Xonar X2 7.1 sound card
2 x western caviar blue (500gb) hard drives (RAID 0)
Corsair 620W power supply

It's driving me insane. I can't afford to buy lots of new components. I need to know what the problem is so I can target it and fix it. Is it the CPU / Memory / hard drives / is there a bad driver? Etc.

Any help or insight would be very much appreciated! =)

Thank you

From the minidump file: -

same here dual boot windows 7 and XP, PFN BSOD seems only IF external USB was accessed...
http://www.osronline.com/article.cfm?article=334 i read and i haven't test the driver verifier..
i havenot check my memory (elixir brand) with testmem yet.. (because another computer with almost similiar configuration DOESNOT have PFN BSOD (quad boot, XP eng, XP JP, OSX, Vista).

my solution is just ignored that PFN BSOD, although when working... becomes trouble...
donot forget to save :D

got from this thread http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/568-63-bsod-pfn_list_corrupt
my trouble computer has
sapphire 5850 with ati catalyst june 2011

my non trouble computer has
sapphire 4870 with ati catalyst june 2011

my conclusion is 5850 got trouble with catalyst (both in windows 7 and in windows XP), i got PFN BSOD since about March 2011 (i forget, sorry)..
hmm maybe the solution going back to the stock catalyst...
but i prefer to random PFN (sometimes when i turn on the computer too long (over 5hours)

it is up to you Javno...
sorry for not giving conclusion.
