I5-2500K work/media build

Hi!

What do you think about this build:

CPU: Intel i5-2500K
Motherboard: Asus P8P67
Memory: G.Skill 2x2GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9
Video card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850
Primary hard drive: Intel 120GB X25-M G2 SSD
Secondary hard drive: Samsung 1TB Spinpoint F3
Optical drive: LG 22x DVDRW SATA
Case: Fractal Design Define R3 Black Pearl
Power supply: OCZ 600W ModXStream Pro
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit OEM

It's primarily meant to be a fast and silent work and media computer, but should also handle gaming reasonably well. At this point I'm not planning on overclocking, but I want to leave that option open.

Thanks,
jgunst

  1. Looks like a very well thought out rig. Love the case, very stylish. Not knowing your budget it is hard to critique. However, I like how you have chosen 4GB of RAM and the 6850. 4GB is plenty, 8GB is overkill for many average users; and the 6850 pumps-out great FPS even with 4xAA. Just to note, have you seen the new BitFenix Shinobi case? Very much like yours and comes in cheap.
  2. Thanks for the reply! The Shinobi is indeed stylish, but it's not available over here. My budget is something like 1000-1300 € ($1400-1800), I can get the current build (including the OS) for around 1200 €.

Well there's nothing I would change. As I said great build. It will have some real power!
