Hi,
i just recieved my Intel DX79TO motherboard ,
i never had intel motherboard before , i have some problem setting it up
i have 3930k cpu
1. i have 4x2GB Corsair XMS3 1600 (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) , how can i run them in quad channel ?
by attaching them in blue slots or black or blube and black ?

2.my rams are 1600mhz but its showing 1333 in Bios , how can i correct theme ? i even updated my bios to latest version

3 . how can i change the turbo speed to 4000mhz instead of 3800mhz ?

thanks ,

Hi there,

U must install 1 in each blue slot to get the quad channel!

***using rams in quad channel mode will fix the ram clock issue btw they will be runing at 1600mhz

put the rams in the blue slots and they will run in quad mode but to be sure follow the manual,as for the ram clock enable XMP to use em at 1600,and you do realise that you are asking about overclocking which means you need a high quality cooler not the stock one? to overclock follow this guide

hi , thanks
but why over clock ? aren't they supposed to work at 1600mhz normally ?

and something else , i was watching cpu-z when rendering in cinema 4d , my turbo frequency is set to 3800mhz but cpu is only showing me it's running at 3500mhz on full load while rendering , any ideas ?
thanks

Intel mobos are great for stability and longevity, but they are not good overclockers.

[fixed]2.my rams are 1600mhz but its showing 1333 in Bios , how can i correct theme ? i even updated my bios to latest version [/fixed]
U need to OC the RAM in the BIOS.
[fixed]3 . how can i change the turbo speed to 4000mhz instead of 3800mhz ? [/fixed]
Again in the BIOS.

thanks h3sham ,
stock turbo freq is 3800, i always been gigabyte user and never used intel motherboard , in gigabyte you can simply change turbo freq. ,i don't even know how to do that ,increasing clock will effect on all the system settings , i know intel motherboards are not pod with over clocking stuff but , it even doesn't let me use original 3800mhz turbo feature .

and i don't really want to over clock , first of all , know why it won't go further 3500mhz ?
second just want the turbo boost over clock instead of 3800mhz to say maybe 3900mhz or 4000mhz ,

the turbo frequency depends on how many cores you are using so theres something called the C that you enable from the bios,ALSO ram clock helps with that according to what i read once , but then again im not quite sure of it all
