I am building a new gaming computer to play the upcoming Battefield 3 at 5760x1080 resolution and I was wondering if what I currently have picked out will be able to do so at full settings. I wasn't sure about the PSU, because I may end up doing some overclocking as well, so I just went with a 1000W one which I think should be more than sufficient.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

EDIT: As stated below, I already have a DVD drive and an OCZ 128GB SSD

Did you intentionally leave out a hard disk (or DVD drive for that matter)?
If money isn't an issue I'd go with a OCZ Vertex 3 and some big spinner for data storage.

And why would you want to play BF3 on 3 monitors?

Sorry, should have mentioned that I already have a DVD drive and an OCZ 128GB SSD

Why wouldn't you? Increased FOV is just awesome. But that is getting slightly off topic...

I don't think BF3 will even support that, but right... topic.

Why the GX 580s in SLI though? I think a HD 6990 or a GTX 590 could pretty much keep up with that in most situations. Plus it's cheaper and offers the possibility for an upgrade with CrossFire'd/SLI'd Super-Beasts.

Considering BFBC2 currently supports it I think BF3 will... But back on topic.

The reason I went with 2 580's is because I didn't think a single card would be able to run it at full settings with a decent FPS. But if that's not true then I may reconsider. That's why I am here though, to find out exactly what I would need to do this.

The GTX 590 and HD 6990 are actually two cores on a single card. I think the difference between these cards and the GTX 580s in SLI is no more than 10%, if that.

All that gpu power and no 120hz refresh rate ? :heink:

Here's a 120hz, LED, 2ms monitor set up for 3d.

Ah sorry, I mistakenly put 3D in the title - I will only be doing surround, not 3D surround.
Why_Me, that is a great monitor, but would end up costing a total of $1200 for all 3, which is far too much :D

Also, as far as the 590 and 6990 goes, I found this review which shows that 580's in SLI beat out a single 590 or 6990 every time.

And I read that the 6990 is really load so that really isn't an option for me. However the 590 may end up being good enough, I will have to do some more research into it.
