Why am I having such high temperatures on prime95?

I built this computer over the course of 2 years saving money from my summer job. I'm not really too good on heat management so please bear with me. Also, I'm not sure what model the case is. It's a generic black case.

After 16 minutes of Prime95, these were the temps I got. At around 61 celsius, it seemed to go up for a few seconds and go back down again.

5 minutes after closing Prime 95, my Temp1 was back at 52 Celsius and my Core at 50 Celsius.

I do play a few games and sometimes my computer shuts down due to heat issues. Also, I have to lower my CPU voltage and keep my CPU at 2.6GHz even though I'd prefer to OC it to 3.2 GHz or so.

It is indeed clean and my thermal was applied properly =X

Bump >_>; Overclocked to 2.8 GHz using BIOS auto settings. Voltage @ 1.26 and I idle at 52.

What are your load temps with that overclock?

Personally, I would not even think of overclocking until I got my heat issues resolved. What are your idle temps with stock settings?

You could try to reverse the fan on the side panel to see if you can improve airflow. The front fan (type 2) is capable of pushing quite a bit more air than the rear and side fans (type 1). Do you run the fans at full speed?

Just FYI, AMD lists the max temp of that processor at 64 C
