Hello,
I have been looking for an upgrade in my graphics card. I play at 1440 x 900 and I am crazy about graphics so AA and everything else will be tuned up all the way. My old GPU is the 8800 GT ( old but worked on many games at max for me for quite a while). I am somewhat on a budget so Anything less than 200 bucks is my goal. ATI or Nvidia does not matter to me.

The GTX 460 is definitely the best card for you BUT
don't buy it yet, wait two weeks because the GTX 560 is coming out, and when it does, the GTX 460s price will drop, so you can get it cheaper, or get the 560 instead, although it will cost over 200 bucks, but anyways the 460 is the better choice, buy it when the price drops and use the change from your 200 bucks for an after market CPU cooler IMO.

Ummm, The hd5850 and hd6850 are better, well, that's not completely true. The hd5850 is better, but the hd6850 is normally a little better, but the GTX 460 does win some. If you get the gtx 460, get the 1gb. You can get something better than a GTX 460 for 200 though. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162051&cm_re=GTX_470-_-14-162-051-_-Product $210 and way better than a gtx 460. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150506&cm_re=hd6870-_-14-150-506-_-Product 2nd gen. DX11 and right at $200. Both are better than a GTX 460 1gb, adn for the price you are looking at. I would personally get the GTX 470. Just make sure your ventilation is good, because it can get pretty hot. Hope this helped. ;)

I agree, The GTX 460 1 GB version will be nice for someone looking for a GPU under 200 $. Also try to wait a bit more , because the GTX 560 is coming out, and they said that it would be the best mainstream card ever built. They said it may be cheaper also.

8800gt is junk man, outdated totally regardless of speed.

you should get the 768MB since you game at a lower resolution, and even for high resolutions 768MB is good enough.

BUT wait for the 560 to come out as the price will drop even more!

Yeah, wait for the 560 to come out and it will drop the prices of the whole GTX 4xx series, then the price of a 470 will be the same price as the 460 is now, so wait/
