Wait on GTX460?

In my first build I was gonna buy a GTX460 graphics card but I am hearing that the 560 is coming out in a few days. Do you think the price on gtx 460s will drop in price as a result of the 560s coming out?

I would imagine so but not right away. And it will most likely be a crap rebate till the store sell off there current stock.

No I don't think the 460 will drop. The prices are going to be relative to performance to compete with the AMD HD series. AMD is releasing a 1gb 6950 to compete in the price range of the GTX560.
Price always is relative to performance no matter what.

Totally agree. There are likely going to be rebates until they sell off the stock, but unless the GTX560 is really powerfull on a relatively low budget, prices will stay the same.
I believe that it might change the prices on hd6950, and less likely to change the price on hd6970, hd6870 (and as a consequence gtx470).

Still, isn't it comming out 25th? Wait and see!

They are talking about listing the gtx 560 right at 300$ or 279 to compete with the 6950.
