Sorry to post another Monitor question :pfff: . I am, like the post before me, looking for a new desktop monitor, preferably something not too big and not too small. I think I have settled on a 23" size, which will hopefully be optimal for viewing my whole screen ( l sit fairly close to my current desktop monitor, approx 24 inches away).

I would like a monitor that suits the following:

- Mainly for playing wow, so have to be able to view my whole UI without head movement, or too much
- Nicish colours and little or no ghosting (really not bothered about perfection here)
- Good price. I'm in the UK and looking for something that's roughly under £200
- Like the look of a clean, thin panel, or edge whatever you guys call it (the bit that frames the actual screen), preferably matte but hey price is more important to me
- Oh yes, I have a ATI Radeon 5770, and my PC is a fairly new budget gaming build so I'm guessing it will be ok with most of the 23" monitors

The main thing is probably viewing angle. I have gotten used to my current monitor and would like something that doesn't stray to far from it's viewing angle and height measurement (currently own a I-Inc AG191D, http://www.i-inc-usa.com/manuals/AG191DPB.pdf, and really love the height of this monitor, but would like some more width to play with in games).

It is difficult to find a monitor that has a similar stand height, so the actually bottom of the screen doesn't start too high. So far, these are the three that I have found to look the most suitable

Samsung XL2370, Acer S231HL bid and the Dell SP2309W

Although the samsung and Acer aren't very adjustable, they look about right for me in terms of dimensions and viewing angle. Love Acer's design and Dell's too, samsung is a bit seedy, but I'm leaning towards the samsung because of the reviews and by the looks of it, picture quality.

People have said you can't go wrong with samsung.

Any feedback on these monitors would be much appreciated and any other suggestions would be great too, I really don't know enough about these screens to judge.

Based on these reviews the Dell would be a better choice.

As a means of deciding, I would suggest that you pay a visit to a local computer (or TV and appliances) store, and see these monitors on display under power. Looking at the monitors under power would give you all the information you need to make your choice.

Good luck!
