I've had this laptop for nearly a week but just started to try out some of my games on it. (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml...) Last night I tried out Bad Company 2 and Team Fortress 2. The temps my cpu reached seemed quite alarming to me. Not so much with TF2, but with BC2 each core got up to around 85C. Is this bad? I know I would never want that in a desktop. I though ASUS was known for great cooling in their laptops. I also don't have a notebook cooler, would anybody recommend getting one?

My 720qm hit 90c while gaming, bought an Akasa Aluminum cooler that knocked a fair bit of heat off.

I'd get a laptop cooler. The laptop i7s run hot (but they can handle the heat up to around 90 C or a bit more).

So where would you guys recommend buying a cooler from? I am very close to a bestbuy, or are they just a rip off when compared to newegg for coolers? How much should I spend on one? What brands are good?

Best Buy is a reputable merchant! After you look at some models, read some reviews and feedback and then make your decision.
