No bootable device found

Hello, i removed my hard drive and cd rom and inserted back after few message apperars that no bootable device found strike F1 to retry or F2 for setup utility...i am using dell pentium 4...kind help me out of it

  1. O, my sister had the same error the other day. She also has a Pentium 4.
    Most probably, your CMOS battery failed/is failing. You should replace it.

    And do you recall the time being wrong on your computer?
  2. press f2 and enter the setup and have it redetect the Harddrive.
  3. i have fixed it by inserting my HD in another cpu and installed new windows and now its working previous cpu was not detecting that because i removed my combo drive also n that needed to b installed again.
