Touching the gold prongs

I got my CPU and when I was taking it out of the little plastic tray, I accidentally touched the golden prongs. It went into the motherboard perfectly fine, is it okay?
All of the prongs looked fine.

Yes, unless you zapped it with static electricity. Go ahead and finish the build.

did you remember to touch the computer case or have an antistatic wrist strap on before u touched the prongs?
