What are you think about this CPU? Is that good for today games? I have it, 4 cores extra price... But I have problem with temperature, maybe this not a problem, you tell me. In hard requirments games temp is 51c and he is hot. Is that normaly temperature or not?... Tanks for help :)

Solution

They are close but here is a tool you can play with comparisons http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/105?vs=89
You should be able to overclock on that board! Unlocking the cache is a no go I believe.

The competition of AMD Athlon II X4 630 is Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400, but in the most tests AMD Athlon II X4 630 proved to be better. Do you have something else about this CPU?...

Not sure what you are asking for ???

Are you looking for a motherboard? Over-clocking?

Depending upon your current setup you should not have issues running 14x240MHz or 14x250MHz, especially with after-market cooling.

An AthlonII Propus quad in the 3.5GHz range is quite a 'snappy' chip which will blow through most anything.

Read your manual!

Use "Ctrl-F1" at the BIOS main screen for advanced features.

Lock the PCIe speed to 100MHz

Depending upon your clock settings set your HT multiplier as appropriate to keep your HT link speed in the 2000MHz range.

Raise your NB volts to 1.2v --- leave the multiplier at 10x

1600MHz RAMs use a 240MHz clock
1333MHz RAMs use a 250MHz clock

Drop your memory ratio one notch -- either 800-->667 or 667-->533

Bump your VCore +0.375v (do not use 'Auto' setting) and raise the clock as defined above.

Drop your cpu multiplier to 12x and test for stability and temps. When you are comfortable you may raise the cpu multiplier in .5 increments --- test for stability and temps along the way.

For rolli59...This link about comparsions are extra. But I dont know why is some Triple Core is better than some Quad Core...Triple Core AMD Phenom 720 is better than AMD Athlon 630 for game...Is that for now or forever, because in the future game will work better on 4 cores... Am I right???...

A faster triple is faster than a slower quad just as long the application can not utilize the 4th core. The PhenomII 720 has the additional L3 Cache to help it but would loose out to the same speed quad if the application (game) could use all 4 cores.

And Intel CORE 2 DUO E7xxx is better than AMD Athlon 630 for games... 2 cores VS 4 cores... I dont understand this...Even the L3 cache is no substitute for more cores...
