HTPC that runs hulu smooth.. plays bluray and hdtuner no sweat

Hello,

looking to get
cpu: corei5 6500k
mobo:asrock p67 or asus p8h67 budget is $150
gpu: gforce 460gtx
mem: 4gb adata ddr3 1333

what i have
cpu: quad core q6600
mobo: gigabyte p35 d3l
gpu: geforce 9600gt
mem: 8gb ozx ddr2 6400
antec 650w will keep
kingston vseries 128gb ssd will keep
western digital caviar black 1tb 7200 will keep



would this be enough to run all my vids and hulu and any other online tv site smooth? and good enough to play games at high settings.. also planning to add on a hdtuner and possible bluray. i want all these to run smooth..

any opinions on a good tuner? would like to run my directv signal to my comp.

looking to spend $800

any thoughts?

Are you planning to use for anything other than surfing the net and as a HTPC? If not then get a Phenom II or even a Athlon X3 or x4, and for graphics I would go for a 550ti or even 5770. As far as tuners go something like this would do fine,

Also you'd likely want to throw in a blue ray drive the basic Lg model would work there,

Honestly though if this is just going to be a htpc you shouldn't really be have any trouble with what you have right now (in fact not I'm sure my build would that much of an upgrade). The only issue you might run into is if you go 3D then you'd need a new graphics card, asides from that and a blue ray drive you'll be fine. Now if your building this to be all around school/work/gaming rig and also run it as a htpc then you could go with that build I'd just add a 560ti or 6870 to it instead of the 460, and throw in the blue ray drive from above.

P.s. I also am going on the assumption you meant i5 2500k because to my knowledge there is not such a cpu as the one you have listed.
