Hello, this is my first post here, but I hear this is good place to discuss technology.
I am currently Building my first Gaming Computer
Do you have any suggestions or recommendations?
The Build is as follows:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE CPU
AMD HD Radeon 6850 GPU
Antec TruePower 650W PSU
CM Hyper 212 HSF
CM HAF 912 Case
2x2GB Corsair DDR3 RAM
4 Case fans
Samsung 24X DVD Drive
640GB WD Caviar Black Sata3 HDD
Wifi Card
Bluetooth Card
Logitech K120 Keyboard
Logitech B100 Mouse
Gigabyte 880GMA Motherboard

What do you think for a first build?

You have a pretty mid resolution monitor you will get better performance if you go Crossfire because you can basiclly double your core, and memory clock! For awsome frames per second. But it's to late now.

I am a WoW player myself. I'm not for sure but I believe that WoW only uses Two cores so this dual core will be an awesome option!

This has a fast clock speed, and can be unlocked to a quad core with the right motherboard.

Also I have this Cooler myself it is fast, and overall Atractive!

This could allow you to over clock this CPU to 4.0 ghz, and still...
That build looks good to me, let me know what your budget is and what you hope to do with the PC. (other than gaming) Also what resolution you would like to use and whether you want to overclock/SLI/crossfire. Also which things you do and dont require. Then i might be able to suggest another idea.

I might OC to 3.8GHz
Probably won't crossfire for a while
mostly 1680x1050
Other use would be browsing the internet.
For Gaming, it would be mostly WoW, Flight Simulator, GTA, and a few FPSs. I would prefer max quality, but it's not a requirement.
My budget is around $900.

I think that for that amount of money you could buy a much better system to be honest. Heres my suggestion:

Intel Core i5-2500k - $224.99
G.SKILL Ripjaws 2x2GB 1600Mhz - $49.99
GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD3-B3 - $134.99
Sparkle GTX 560Ti (Fermi) 1GB - $229
WD Caviar Black 500GB - $59.99
CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 600W - $54.99
Antec Three Hundred - $59.95
ASUS 24x DVD Burner - $18.99
Coolermaster Hyper 212+ - $34.99

Total = $867.88

(Before rebates and shipping)

That leaves you $30 for anything else you may need such as mouse and keyboard etc. It should also do everything you require with ease. You shouldn't have too much of a problem getting that CPU to 4-4.5Ghz and it will absolutely destroy games like WoW. I'm sure it would even be great on more demanding games.

My advice - nice build but I would get the P67 chipset motherboard and the Core i5 2500K. It will be well wirth spending the extra little bit of cash for it - they are REALLY fast CPU's, much faster than the BE.

Thanks for the advice guys, unfortunately the build was already purchased at the time of posting this, I was just looking for a second opinion.
The only things not purchased are:
Phenom II X4 955
WD Caviar Black 640GB Sata3
AMD 6850.

I would prefer to stick to AMD, rather than Intel/Nvidia.
Anything worth changing?

This could allow you to over clock this CPU to 4.0 ghz, and still maintain 40C Idle!

I would go with dual Saphire Radeons 5670's

This would give probably 15 more frames per second on ultra, than your Radeon 6850 but the choice is yours

Thanks for the reply, in fact, I had already looked at the X2 555, but I had heard that it's not 100% guaranteed to unlock to a quad core.
As for the dual 5670s, well, my Motherboard is mATX, so in order to crossfire I will probably have to go ATX.
I will look at the cooler, I already have a CM Hyper 212, so I am not sure how they stack up against eachother. Thanks
