PRESCOTT VS NORTHWOOD

REPLACED 2.4 NORTHWOOD WITH 3.2 PRESCOTT.
MSI 845E MAX THINKS IT HAS 2 X 1.6 CPU.
WIN7 2 GB RAM.
WHAT I MISS?

are 800 fsb; your board is 533 fsb." does not fit the facts. My unit
has been running with a 2.4 ghz 800 fsb Northwood for several years now.
I saw no reason to continue the thread as the information gap is too
wide. I have always considered you a grand resource and will continue to
do so.

I was trying to explain why his cpu might not run at full speed, according to the specs of the motherboard. If your 2.4 is running at 2.4, that's great. normally, the 3.06 at 533 is the highest cpu the 845e might run, but there's no cpu support section for his board that I can find. It's too old.
