Hey guys,

I recently had my PSU go out on an old(er) computer and it took the GPU with it. While it still displays, its giving me a "You are not connected to an NVIDIA device" when I see it sticking out of the card, so its time to replace. I am just going to use it as a media machine and build anew, my concern is a lot of the cards are DDR3 and my old board is DDR2. Now I know as memory goes, I can do nothing about this, but is it the same for GPUs?

Here is the mobo in question:

And here is the GPU:

So, are they compatable?

Solution
yes, they are absolutely compatible this is not an issue if your mobo have DDR2 then your are able to fit any type of gpu whether its GDDR5 or ddr3 etc..
