My mobo has 533/(800 mhz fsb max), 2(1)gig of ram 533 mhz(max), and pentium 4 (800mhz)with 2mb cache single core. With the ram maxed and mobo maxed at 800mhz. Would dual core help any?

You need to look and your mobo specs. Based on what I see I would question if it would even support dual core and if so it may be very limited in what dual core is supported. As far as your question would it help, I don't know, help what specifically?
