I was an idiot and was moving things around when the computer was on and a piece of metal touched the PCI port (yes inside that tiny grove) and sparked and the computer shutoff. There was an unmistakable burning electronics smell. The computer however turned on and ran fine after I cycled the power supply.

Thing is, since then I have noticed a definite frame rate drop in my games. About 25% lower than before. And some things have been acting weird as well. Some games play fine (with the 25% drop), while others permalock the computer to the point where I have to do a hard reset. I also noticed minecraft would do the lockup the very second I enabled opengl.

So, my question is: More than likely I should just replace the mobo right? But is there a chance it could be the gpu as well? Keep in mine is was the pci that sparked, not the PCI-E.
