Hi,

I have being experiencing problems with my power supply recently (related to this thread). I'm going to go ahead and upgrade the power supply to hopefully resolve the problems.

The current specs of my machine are:
Antec Sonata III Miditower, Black w/500W PSU
Asus P5KC, P35, Socket-775, DDR2/DDR3, ATX, GbLAN, Firewire, PCI-Ex16
Corsair XMS2 6400 DDR2, 1024MB PC6400 64Meg x 8, CAS 5-5-5-15, 800MHz, 240pin
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz Socket LGA775, 8MB, BOXED w/fan
Samsung SpinPoint S166 160GB SATA2 8MB 7200RPM
Samsung SpinPoint T166 500GB SATA2 16MB 7200RPM
Sapphire Radeon HD 2400 XT 256MB GDDR3, PCI-Express, DVI-I/Tv-out/HDMI, Heatsink

Recent Upgrade
----------------------
Windows 7 64-bit OS
Crucial DESKTOP 4GB kit (2GBx2) DDR2 667MHz (PC2-5300) CL5 Unbuffered UDIMM 240pin

I am wondering what power supply would best suit this self-built system. I have being looking at this model

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks!

I'd say the 380w but it's more expensive

If you're just looking to spend money needlessly the Seasonic 430 will set you back $80 and is still more power than you need for those specs
