I have comcast cable. I am building myself an HTPC and would like to do all my tv watching movie watching etc on windows media center.

In order to watch all the premium channels, hd, etc, what would I need from comcast?

As for the tv tuner card would I need anything fancy or just a regular tuner?

Im not worried about recording 4 shows at once but I I would like to be able to record one. Last question is, does ondemand work with windows media center?

I ally appreciate all the help

To watch TV on your computer monitor, you need either an internal or an external capture card/device. I have this external device: http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hvr1950.html

With this, you may view/record TV programs. My HVR 1950 has been in use for nearly 2 years, and has worked well.

Regarding ondemand - the cable providers require you to have a de-coder box for your TV. They also have encryption to prevent unauthorized recording of movies/programs that are included in 'ondemand'. I do not have ondemand, so I cannot comment further.
