Amd processor gaming

Hello, tell me the which is the best processor for gaming?

Just from AMD? A Phenom II X4 955 or 965 would be my opinion. Better than the 6 core Thubans and overclockable.

Depends on your budget. If it's under 800, go with amd. If it's over $1k go with the new intel i7's.

the phenom 2 x6 is still a bit better for gaming than the x4 at same clock speed, not by much in most games. If you already have an amd platform and want to upgrade cpu, id say go for whichever one you can afford. if your building a new gaming system, you are better off going intel i5 760 or something similar if you can afford it.
