I am connected to the internet through my home network via wifi but I can also connect to the internet by tethering my phone with an app called pdanet. I was wondering if it is possible/beneficial to use both internet connections at the same time. If so, is there a way to direct traffic through one or the other manually. For instance, have online gaming use one connection and use the other connection for miscellaneous web browsing.

It wouldn't be worth it to bridge those connections together.

You typically only want to bridge connections that are wired, coming into the same location at the same place. Example: My brother has two Verizon FiOS connections bridged at his house. 400 mb internet service ftw.
