? about Mobo FSB (newbie)

I'm looking at low end mobo's and some have FSBs of 1k and 2.6k FSB. If I have a low end cpu (amd sempron 145) with a HT of 2k, does one of these 1k fsb boards really hamper the cpu? I've read what the fsb does on a mobo (on wiki) but i guess im having trouble on how 1k vs 2.6k mhz fsb's affects ddr3 ram and different cpus.

  1. It would help if we knew what MB you have.
  2. To my knowledge there is no 1k boards. Its 1k in each direction, or 2k total.

With such a low end CPU it won't matter.

I was just seeing that among the low end boards many of them have a 1000mhz fsb or 2600fsb and i didn't know it was in one direction. Would a 1000mhz fsb affect overclocking much? I had an old board with a 1000mhz fsb and i couldn't oc that much.
