Hello,I am actually new to this forum.I am shopping around for a new Graphics card,as of right now I have a ATI 4850 512mb video card. The card I am currently looking at is a gtx 460,gtx 465,and a ati 6850.Most of the games I play on my computer are crysis, cod black ops, supreme commander 2,transformers war for cybertron, ect. Will any of those 3 cards be consider a good upgrade from my 4850 or should I just keep the 4850?
thanks.

According to most benchmarks, yes you should see a very nice bump. Most benchmarks will tell you that the 4850 is around the same power as the 8800/9800. The gtx460 is quite a bit better than both of those cards. so yes, it's a good upgrade if you have the money. I can tell you from ownership that the 460 will play black ops completely maxed out without a problem. Assuming the rest of your specs don't bottleneck it that is.

Currently,I am running nothing too special, but I have a Asrock a780gxh 128m mobo,AMD Phenom 9650,4gb of A-data ddr2 memory, psu is 550watt.Though the nice thing about my motherboard is,I can upgrade to the phenom 2 6 core processor if wanting to.

With that, you should definitely notice a difference from the 4850 to the gtx 460. and honestly, don't bother with the 465's, they aren't that great.

Ok,that is what I thought then about the 465,I heard mix reviews that the 460 is much better than the 465.What about the 460 up against the 6850?The way people are claiming that the 6850 dominates the 460.

And in actuality they're really close. So with how close the scores are, it's really a personal preference.

Well it is a tough decision to make on this one then.

They're both very good cards. You can't really go wrong one way or another. Honestly, for the money you're going to spend on one of the GOOD 460's ($200-$220) you could go ahead and get a 6870 which would be quite a bit better than the 460.

This is true, since I am looking at the 6870 prices.
