Pentium B 940? Never heard of it. There is the Pentium D 940, and it's NOT a sandy bridge... Pentiums are lower end junk now. Get the i5 or i7.

the add for staples said that it is a pentium B, tried to find anything on a pentium B and couldn't find anything. Must be a typo I am guessing.

For most people the difference between these two processors would come down to the Intel® Core™ i5-2410 supporting Turbo mode and hyper-threading. There is more to it than and you can see the differences at http://ark.intel.com/Compare.aspx?ids=52224,55626,. In the end the Intel Pentium B940 is a entry level processor that is rated at the low end of our processor line up.
