Operating systems supporting intel core i7 2600k processors

I want to buy a pc with configuratinn as fioolow:-
processor-intel core i7 2600k
motherboard- intel dh67bl
..
I want to ask that windows 7(64-bit) will be compatible with this configuration or not...i am confused as i don't know whether i7 2600k is a 64 -bit processor or not ...

It does support 64 bit OS eversince LGA775 was release up to that new sandy bridge 1155 socket.

Yes it is compatable http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-008326.htm. In a desktop board with the excpetion of some Intel® Atom™ processors all use EM64T. EM64T means that the processor will except 64bit memory instuctions and address greater then 4GB of memory but it doesn't in any way stop you from using a 32bit OS or program.

Besides some Intel Atoms the last processor that we had that wasn't 64bit was the Intel Core Duo in laptops.
