Low 3dMark06 score

I only get 17.2k on 3dMark06 and with my specs I feel that it should be a lot higher. Anything I can do to raise it? Also I'm on windows XP home edition if that makes any difference. This is at 1280 x 1024 cause with the trial it doesn't let me use 1680 x 1050 (what my monitor uses). At 1680 x 1050 I average higher than 60fps in crysis with everything on high and 4x AA. I don't think heat is the issue either cause I have my gpu fan running at 70% in an antec 900.

-4GB ram (only 3.4GB used)

Low, res is gonna put all the stress on the CPU. 3DMark06 isn't worth it to bench with. Grab the new 3DMark11 and use that to test, and post back. Yous should score around 5k ish on the default preset.
