Hello,

i have a standard case which means the psu goes to the top. i was just wondering cuz i have to upgrade soon if it would be smart to get a psu that pushes the air down or what little things i should know also like would it fit etc. cuz i never got to see a gaming case upclose nor got to see a psu which has the fan @ the top/bottom of the psu. so im afraid if i buy one it wont fit or it will get my cpu superhot :(

The fans on PSUs always draw air from the case through the PSU and exhaust it into the room so it will never add heat to your case and will not make your CPU any hotter. For the most part most PSUs are the same dimensions and it doesnt matter how the fan is mounted in it it will still fit fine. One thing you do need to check though is how much space you have between the front of your PSU and your optical drive, in small cases the bundle of wire that comes out can be hard to deal with because it pushes right up against the back of the drive.
