Help!!

Hello I have a problem maybe you guys can help me with. I have a HP Laptop that is driving me crazy. When I hit the Power Button I can see it light up and Then I can see the HP screen but there are no BIOS options at the bottom of that page, only an option to press F1 to get into system information and the computer automatically gets into it, after that it just goes nowhere. I try hitting Esc and Enter on the keyboard and nothing happens. I've checked the hard disk, memory, Fans and preety much every hard drive part I could think off but I just cant get to the root of the problem. I'd really apprichiate any input anyone can give me. Thank you for your time...
