I noticed that air duct is not aligned with processor properly. Actually its misaligned by a full air duct diameter length to the right of the processor. Is this normal? Does air duct serve its purpose at all? Should I keep it that way or should I remove the air duct?

What case are you talking about? The air duct it likely designed for the GPU over the CPU if its one of the ones for a side panel fan. Give us some more details to work with because right now, im just confused.

oh sry, yeah, air duct is installed on the side on the "upper holes". Case pretty basic, Apollo MS.

I've read about Thermally Advantaget Chassis (of which this one reminds me, i may be wrong though) and in the recommendations it is clearly stated that air duct should be aligned with processor.
I looked inside this rig i got to do whatever i want with it and noticed that these 2 components are not set right (at least by TAC if this is a case of one).
