UPGRADE GTX 560 or GTX 570

I have a Q6600 oc'ed at 3.2, 780i, 8gb Memory, Cool Master 850 PSW, 1920 x 1200 monitor

Replacing 2x 9800gtx SLI with (1) 9800gtx for cuda and either a GTX 560 or GTX 570...

Thoughts? I am thinking the GTX 570 will be CPU Bound...

I'm going to be getting two 560's in the near future to run in SLi with an E8400, I don't know for sure if the CPU is going to hold them back by much but then neither does anyone else although I'm sure there are a few "experts" who will say different.

Should be able to overclock the E8400 to lessen the bottleneck. 4Ghz would be perfect.

I want a pair of 560's but it's a sidegrade and not worth the money

I hate the term "bottleneck", but until I get the cards and try it I can't say for sure that the CPU is going to be a problem.

OP: I really wouldn't worry about it. Get what you can afford, the 570 would be sick.

I'm with mousemonkey on the whole "bottleneck" term being thrown about way too much. Granted there will be cases that the CPU is a bottleneck, but when it comes to getting over 60fps it should never be the fault of a Q6600 with an overclock. You might bottleneck at 150fps, for example running FurMark at 1280x1020 with no AA...

So... yeah... don't worry about the "cpu holding your cards back".
