Amd radeon hd 6870 vs nvidia gtx 560 ti

i'll be very soon upgrading my gpu and have decided to buy among the two
i've heard that amd drivers don't work properly, otherwise they are good but i've been an nvidia user upto now..
any recommendations??
also any other card would do, if it falls within $250...
i plan to Crossfire/SLi on future

    The GTX560 performs quite a bit higher than the 6870, and has shown to be exceptionally cool and quiet, making them ideal for SLI.
