Upgrade Suggestions

Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card(s) and would appreciate any suggestions on what to get.

My current system is:

CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4
RAM - 6GB DDR2 PC2-6400
Graphics - 2 x EVGA GeForce 8500 GT in SLI
Sound - Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme
Power - Xilence XP600 600W

I'm planning on replacing the CPU with a AMD Athlon II X4 Quad Core 640 3.0GHz as I've recently discovered my mb supports Socket AM3 as well.

Ideally I'd like to keep the SLI config, but it depends on whether I can get 2 resonably price cards that will out perform 1 card at a similar price if that makes sense.

Around £150, which is about $240 but I can go a bit higher if persuaded I spent £140 on the two 8500 GTs back when I got them.

A GTX460 1GB would outperform your 8500's by quite a bit.

Nice ok so something like this would be a good choice? It also has SLI support so if I'm feeling rich in the future I can get another

that looks nice, it seems higher spec than the 460 I found above. I'll have to see if I can find it in the UK
