I have an eTEC 4 port modem/router, and wanted to update the driver but I cant find any reference to the company anywhere. can anyone help with getting support for this or should i buy a new one - if so what?

I've never heard of that company. If it isn't doing what you need get a new one, simple as that. I highly recomend Linksys home routers, just because I have had nothing but good experiences with them. The WRT54G has proven itself to be a very good piece of equipment in my book.
