Need Advice! - High-End Performance PC - Buying TODAY!

So, I am finishing up an order that I am trying to send out today. It is my first build, but I am in the video game industry, and as such I need the computer to do several important things - such as high-end gaming, editing, rendering, coding, art assets, large storage capacity, etc. I need some advice on a few things though. First, I'll post the New Build thing and then my questions and then my wishlist.

Approximate Purchase Date: Today

Budget Range: 1000-2000, probably around 1500.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, coding, surfing the internet/emails, art assets, rendering, storage.

Parts Not Required: OS - Getting a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit at a local computer store

Parts Preferences: Intel, nVIDIA, ASUS - could be talked into anything else of note

Overclocking: Maybe - in the future

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe - in the future

RAID: Maybe - in the future. Thinking about RAID 10 or RAID 5 my SSD when the price drops.

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

This is my first attempt at building a computer. I realize that it is a bit ambitious of a project, but I'm asking for advice because I don't want to make any huge mistakes, and I want everything to be correct for what I'm trying to do.

My priorities are - Stability(Cooling and not falling apart), Upgradability, Performance, Aesthetics
