Hello, I have a 1.5 year old gateway desktop. Worked fine until the monitor just snapped off and displayed "no signal." (HDMI hook-up.) Tried to restart pc, but it would only display and attempt reboot for various length of time (seconds to a minute or so) before the monitor displayed "no signal." Once, after being unplugged for a longer time, it did run until a complete loading of windows before again (no signal). And after the "no signal," it needs to be unplugged to shut down. Tried different monitors, same thing. Tried DMI cable...same. Under Big Box warranty, so sent away. Came back with new HDD (Grrrrrr)...same thing. Sent away again for 3 weeks. New motherboard...same thing. Any ideas? My first thought was the 300 watt power supply, then graphics card. Under warranty and back to store tomorrow. Booooo, BB.

Sounds like your video card is loose, or shot. Give complete system specs.

Have you checked the dust build up in the graphics card heatsink slots? The card may be overheating.
