Thinking of upgrading my current video cards (2 x 8800GT 512mb in SLi). What would be an equivalent if any to that setup for instance one GTX card? Thanks for replies.

What's your budget?

I'd say a GTS 450 is more than enough.

Failing that, a 6870 perhaps?

A pair of 8800GT's is about on par with a single GTX460, I know this because I recently built an i3 rig for my nephew with a GTX460 and had the chance to run a few benchies.

I will say this I own both, mouse is right and it takes a GTX 460 minimum to break even compared to 8800/9800gt sli +/- 10%~

i agree, a gtx460 would be equivelant. http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2010-gaming-graphics... heres a comparison between gts250 (aka rebadged 8800gt) SLI and a stock and overclocked gtx460. it sits in between the stock and overclocked versions.

The GTS250 is the 8800GTS/9800GTX not the GT, I'm not trying to be picky it's just for the sake of accuracy.
