How hot can it run?

This is a simple question; what temperature should my processor be able to go to? I have a Phenom 2 X4 965 oc'd to 4.0ghz, and the max I've seen it go is 55C. Is that safe? And if so, how high can it go before I should worry?

55c is definitely safe, I wouldn't worry until you get into the mid 60s.

The max temp in the spec for that processor is 62C. You're fine up to that.
