Hello users , I will be doing a Gaming PC build & it will most likely use the GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-UD2H motherboard. My question for you guys/girls is if the Sata cables supplied with this motherboard are Sata 6.0gb/s?(They are light/baby blue) I know that most motherboards that have support for it come with the correct sata 6.0gb/s cables but I have watched a few Unboxing videos of this Board on Youtube & some refer to them as Sata 2(Sata 3.0/gb/s) Cables, and other refer to them as the Sata 3(Sata 6.0gb/s) Cables.
I need to know because the hardrive I will buy is a WD 1TB Cavier Black Sata 6.0gb/s Drive.(I know with normal hardrives sata 6.0gb/s does not make much of a difference but for whatever reason I still want to buy one.)
I can't speak for the Gigabyte but all the Asus boards I have used have definitely come with separately identified SATA II and SATA III cables. The SATA III cables are color coded with white tips and separately identified in the manual to be used for the SATA III connectors.
