Contraband attack

I try to kick my enemy via Contraband.
He is Crystal - I am Coalition.
I use a cloacked Maelstorm (sensorimage = 0)
to bring a godpod with 1000 Kerria up to 50ly
near to his base.

What do I have to do - because nothing happend till now?!?
I set the pod to sell to enemy base!
Does it only work with free flying goldpod???

Second question:
What crimelevel can I expect after selling the Kerria.
The enemybase has 1.200.000 Colls and only 1 HG.

You are going to have to get directly over the world and have the Gold
pod set to sell to the base (NOT land on it!!!) The money should be in
the gold pod next turn.... as for the crime I'm not sure.

A long time ago I did some experiments with selling contraband in this
fashion. I found that sometimes it would take two turns for the sell
order to work. I don't remember if I figured out why, or if that was
ever fixed.

I have tried to get this to work many times since Host 189 or so.

The other day I asked Tim for the code of this bit, as I suspected a
bug. i discovered / confirmed several things.

(1) The range is definitely <60LY. There had been some disagreement
about what it should be on this newsgroup. If you are 59LY away it
should work.

(2) It requires BAD BLOOD. The bigger the bad blood factor between your
races, the more likely it is to work. Tim is going to remove this in the
next Host, though, thank god. Meanwhile, if BB is <50, you will have big
problems. And at present, you can't find out what it is until the Client
is updated.

(3) Kierras vs Crystals is good. If the racial "liking" for the contra
type you were selling was zero, it would have zero crime effect.

(4) Crime decays at, at most, about 40 points a turn. If you sell 1000kT
contra to a base, it will generate Crime there for ~25 turns.

(5) I confirmed that you need a high population on an enemy base to sell
contraband to. Eg, 1000 colonists per kT.

This will all appear in the next version of the How To Play guide on
Klingon Kommand, whenever I get round to updating it...
