P8700 with 1gb graphic card vs i5 with 512 praphic card. which is better? PLEASE

i am looking at two laptop choices. the first is core2duo P8700 with 1 gb graphic card and the second one is an i5 with 512mb graphic card. i only want to know which one performs better (faster), especially in gaming.

I have a feeling that the I5 is going to be faster overall but to tell about gaming performance we will need to know which graphics card is installed. Pretty much any std card (like intel HD graphics) is not suited for gaming.
