Hey everyone,

I'm looking to build a system around a Core i3 2100 and Radeon 6870.
I'm stuck deciding between the Silverstone RV02 and the Fractal Design Define R3.

I need it to be really quiet, so as not to distract me from my work like my current chassis does. I will also use it for gaming and general use.
I know the RV02 has better cooling, but is it noticeably louder? Or will the R3 be sufficient to cool the 2100 and 6870?

Thanks in advance everyone. :)

The R3 will be sufficient in your case and it is slightly quieter compared to the RV02. Am little surprised though at your video card selection. If this is a work PC then the HD 2000 video chip which the i3 2100 comes with will be enough. Plus you won't need to put with the video card fan noise thereby making your PC more quieter.

Sorry, I forgot to put in that it is more a general use machine, gaming as well as work I bring home.

Dude just go with their numbers.........R2 , R3....big number = better

They're not from the same company, in fact they differ greatly in design. The RV02 is a better cooling case, but I don't know at what cost this has to noise.
