Sandy Bridge Integrated grapfix

I am a bit confused after spending some hours reading about the new Sandy Bridge CPUs and i have this huge quesstion :
I am interested in upgrading my old cpu/combo ,but keeping my grafix card,but given that i am convinced on buying one of the new i5s ,don't know if my grafic card is actually worse than the integrated one.
I have an nvidia 9600gt but i couldn't find any way to compare integrated grafix with the classic cards we had until now.
Any thoughts? :S

Sandy Bridge IGP is roughly equal to a Radeon 5450, I'm not sure how it will directly compare, but your 9600GT is at least twice as powerful. I come to this conclusion as I know the 9600GT and newer GT 240 perform similarly, while the GT 240 falls between the Radeon 5570 and 5670 in terms of performance.
