I was wondering if my EVGAx58 SLI LGA 1366 would be able to support a EVGA 01G-P3-1556-KR GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) FPB 1GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card OR a EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card...ive asked in gpu.....no response...

No response because it is all in one slob. When one is looking for the specs on each part, it is just hard to read...

If u post your question with links to the parts, more people will respond for sure.

As far as I can see, I don't see why not. It will work fine @ x8/x16

whats the difference between this:

besides the price point, quality and performance wise, what's the crucial difference that makes one gpu better than the other...

For higher resolutions the (256 bit) model scales better, even more in SLI.

The higher resolution would be 2560x1600.
