Upgrading memory for Acer TimelineX AS4830TG-6808, which brand?

Hi guys, I'm upgrading the memory from stock 4gb to 8gb on the laptop listed in the thread title.

What kit would be preferable of these two?

Both are 8gb kits with the same timings, speed, and voltage. Are there any good sites where I can see benchmarks between these or a reliability comparison?

Someone else asked me about these yesterday. Go for the G.Skill, they are the same CAS and cheaper than the Kingston. G.Skill is also a top notch RAM maker (not that Kingston isn't). You won't find any benchmarks on the RAM, nor any difference except price

So you're saying that there is no difference in speed or reliability but only in price? If that's so then I'll probably go with the G. Skill. Anybody else want to speak up before I pull the trigger?

That's exactly what I'm saying, I did a side by side comparison of them just yesterday. Currently G.Skill is cheaper, next week it might be Kingston (or Corsair). Or shipping will change, that's about it!
