Crossfire 4870's

Hello all,

I really need some help. I had this card already

I have a GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P mobo and have hooked everything up. I have the latest catalyst suite. but the option for enabling crossfire is just not there. I have googled to no avail, ccc will see both cards but the most I get is that it has the option of extend desktop on the second card, and that is only when I right click on the taskbar icon, in ccc software I don't see anything that shows I have a second card in. I have the bridge installed, just 1 right? all power cords are in on both cards. I have never crossfired before please help.

Did you install the drivers before adding the second card? If so delete the drivers and reinstall.

After I installed the second card I rebooted to safe mode, used driver sweeper to delete ati drivers, then reinstalled ccc and 10.12 crossfire drivers in normal windows.

I tried the bridge on both connectors, neither worked. I read that after a certain ccc, 8. something, you don't use 2 bridges, is that right?

1 bridge is enough 2 bridges can speed it up a little but create visual tearing.

One bridge it is then, but the question remains, why won't ccc give me the option of activating crossfire? what else could I do or check?
