Hi everyone!!

I have a mid-case with dell inpiron 530s mobo & e5800 3.2Ghz (Stock as no bios settings for OC) with 4x1GB DDR2 Ram.

I plan to get a new machine (mobo, cpu & ram) at some point when prices for I7 setups drop a bit and I can afford it...

Untill then I would like to OC my CPU and RAM just for the sake of it and also to get some more speed as I feel the performance has dropped a bit.

What I want to know is what would be the cheapest MOBO i could get to play around and get some more speed from the cpu while at the same time to be a reliable mobo

Budget is maximum $50 ! no problem if it is DDR3 as I have spare DDR3 sticks!

Thanks

Waste of money. You aren't going to find any decent motherboard for $50. Just put that money toward upgrading to a better processor.

I've got the E6600 in my machine, overclocked to hell and back (3.5 GHz up from a stock of 2.4). I really can't tell the difference, it's just an old, wimpy chip. I'm guessing it would be similarly unproductive on your E5800.
